Swimmin' Lessons

Here are some pictures from the kids swimming lessons. Megan was already a fish, and Kaitlyn could swim pretty well, but I thought it'd be good to have them maybe learn some FORM in their swimming styles, and heck, Jack could use some lessons just for fun! We signed up at the same time as Rebecca (my brothers wife) so our kids could be in the same classes and they had SUCH a good time. Well, Jack and Abbie did for the first swim out with their teacher, but then after that it was 5 days worth of constant tears and terror. They were really freaked out for some reason, but soon Abbie put on a brave face, to show Jack how to be brave :) and then the last 2 or 3 days he was loving it again. All of the kids, including the little ones, had to jump off the diving board, which was really good for getting over their fears, and by the end, Kaitlyn was jumping off on her own whenever she got the chance (when we'd stay after lessons). After every lesson all the kids were allowed to go in the "baby pool" and play with a ton of water toys. The older girls did awesome -- they learned a bunch of really good strokes. Totally cool. It was a success, and I got to work on my tan at the same time!
