We had a much simpler Christmas this year than the last few. Here's the girls showing us what they got in their stockings... Kate was very excited about new earrings, since it's now been long enough for her to take her studs out and change them once in a while.
The best part of Christmas morning this year was opening presents from the girls. They spend days and days before Christmas making each other gifts (it was their own idea), then wrapping them and putting them under the tree. Kaitlyn wrote letters to each one of us, and that was definately the highlight. The kids honestly didn't care about opening the presents behind them because they were really getting a kick out of seeing each other open the things they had made. It was very cute. We were so wrapped up (ha ha!) in those that when it came time to open the "real" presents, we just kind of went through it and forgot to snap more photos! Jack and Kaitlyn both got bikes as part of our Christmas gift, which was that we'd all have bikes to ride together. (Me and Paul bought ours the day after Christmas) And we got a PS2 (instead of a Nintendo DS for just Megan) and a couple used games from GameStop to play together as a family.
That night, we went to John & Rebecca's for another delectible dinner. Again, too busy eating to take pictures.... but here's a picture of my mom opening her gift from us kids. We had been working on making her a CD since August. John had the idea, and his friend Rob is in a band and recorded most of the songs, then our friend Adam from church has mixing software and a totally awesome setup so he helped us record songs that we'd each picked to sing for her. It turned out pretty good, and made her cry, which is what she says we just love to do to her (but that's what SHE gets for her Christmas EVE present to us! How do YOU like it!?!?) Anyway, we sat around and listened to each of the songs, each of us getting very embarrassed when our song was coming up... it was fun though.
After that, we were going to have the kids come play the bells, Rebecca has a set, and we'd made some posterboards for some Christmas songs, but then we decided the kids were having fun, so us adults would just do it instead. It was quite a riot. I think we were more irresponsible and goofy with the bells than the kids would have been. Very very funny.
The kids just chillin' watching a movie. They eventually came down and played the bells though, we didn't hog all the fun to ourselves. :)

Oh! What a great present to your Mom! Your guys are great kids! What did you sing? My voice stinks and if I did that my Mom would have asked that track to be cut :).
