Easter Sunday

For the first time, we got the kids a little something for Easter. They each got a little candy, a stuffed animal, some sidewalk chalk and a tiny little pot with seeds to plant (hey, if they work, we can transplant them to the garden!).

They were SO excited about the stuffed animals (though Meg & Jack’s have now joined the other forgotten stuffed animals in their room) and excited about the chalk too so they went out and decorated our driveway for our dinner guests who would arrive later that evening.

Our family dinner was VERY small this year, therefore nice and cozy. My parents came, and Wes (Jennie’s husband) were planning on coming, but poor Jennie who was supposed to be working that day was really really sick. She felt well enough to come for dinner (so we had 4 guests), but ended up resting on the couch most of the night.

We had a good time chattin’ and hangin’ out. And Jennie & Wes surprised us with like, the biggest gift we’ve ever got – Wes’s parents gave them a Wii last Christmas and though they were super excited about it, they hadn’t ever played it (they have an xbox 360 that they play a lot) so instead of selling it, Wes thought it’d be nice to let us have it. WOW! SUPER NICE!! Hello?!?!? So, thanks again Wes & Jennie for sharing. They’ll come over plenty to play it with us I’m hoping.
