Visiting Great Grandpa

Couldn't look better at 93!

This past Saturday we drove out to Mesa to visit Paul's Grandpa Washburn, who now lives with Paul's uncle Bill. We enjoyed a couple hours of his company, sharing stories about the good old days in Wyoming when he and his wife Lavonne were first married. Visiting Grandpa is always a treat and we always learn little gems from his past. He kept showing us old photos and pointing out how formal everyone always dressed, suits and dresses even to the park. He is still keeping busy making DVD's and CD's of pictures and videos for his posterity. He's up to around 4,200 pictures from the time he was born to now, of all his children, their children and their children's children. He's 93, but hasn't quit putting almost all of his time into making sure his life story and his legacy are recorded for all of us.

What a great man!!! That's what I want to be doing when I'm 93 - leaving a legacy and an example to my posterity. Amazing. Thanks for sharing, Paul.
