Megan's 10th Birthday

YEAH! Megan is in the double digits! She was very excited for her birthday today. Paul went into work late so he could make her breakfast and see her open some presents (usually he leaves for work at 6AM). He made her pancakes and fried eggs, and I made strawberry, orange, banana shakes which she also loves. We had a birthday party on Friday where 3 of Megan's friends came by, both sets of grandparents and a bunch of aunts and uncles and other family friends too. It was, as it usually is, very loud and very crazy. It was very cool to have Phil & Alka (Paul's brother) and Lars come too. They were in town looking for houses. Some of the pictures are from her birthDAY, and some from her parTAY :) We bought her this huge fort builder set so she doesn't have to use all our furniture, all our blankets, and the pillows off the couches to make her crazy forts. She made a helicopter fort and a boat fort and she's made a hot air balloon and some plain old cool forts. She also got a crochet book (from Klutz -- they are THEE BEST BOOKS!) and some crystal growing kits, some huge candy bars (thanks Anna!) and some COLD HARD CASH which she used to buy a fish tank, some fish and some crabs (thanks Phil & Alka & John & Rebecca) and a cool book, which she LOVES so far (from John & Rebecca too). Her awesome aunt Jennie took her on her birthday to get her first real pedicure, which she's wanted for a LONG time. And Grandma Bowler took her on another day to dinner at IHOP and shopping to pick a present, where she got a remote control Dragonfly (very cool, also has wanted THAT forever) and Kaitlyn saved up some money and bought her a necklace, earrings and a pack of gum. How sweet is that? Anyway, I may, or may not have forgotten some gifts but uh... close enough right? Thanks to everyone who came, and those who participated via Skype (Wendy & Heidi's families :) ).
