Paul's family has been trying for a while to get us to buy a web cam so we could chat live with each other. We blew it off for a long time, couldn't be bothered to go and BUY something. We had a chance at Christmas to try it out. We used my dad-in-laws computer and talked with Paul's brother Phil and his family who live in Dallas. It was SO much better than the phone - it was like a mini-visit! It was awesome!Paul's Dad bought us a web cam for Paul's birthday (thanks Papa!) and we finally have it set up. We are so excited to use it, and think it'd be AWESOME if the rest of you (ALL of you) got into it. We could see each other "in person" and our kids could talk to each other whenever they wanted (which is prolly more often than we'd want them to).
Skype is free - (free long distance!!) and you can get a web cam (like the one shown above) for around $30. Some fancier ones are between $50-100 depending on how serious you want to get.
So who's in??? Come on! Scott & Amy, Kent & Amy, Mike & Laura (come on Laura, I took your advice and did a blog!) Wendy & Todd (Jacob & Kaitlyn could TALK to each other, and Ashlie can see her favorite auntie again!!) Courtney & Scott - we could play Risk long distance!! :)

Actually, Mike has a built in camera in his new laptop (so Kent probably does too) and he uses Skype all the time with his work partner. I think it's funny that they Skype when he lives just down the street. ; ) It's a great idea! I've never used it with family members before!!
